Best Switch Controller Deals
If you’re a controller fiend, the Switch is definitely the console for you. There’s an enormous variety of options to suit every single need. The Joy-Cons, which come bundled in with the Switch, are the most flexible controllers by far. You can slide them onto the Switch to turn it into a handheld, wield them separately as Wii-style motion controllers, or slide them into a grip to turn them into a standard controller. Heck, you can even turn them into two separate controllers for impromptu multiplayer sessions.
They’re a jack of all trades for sure, but (as the saying goes) masters of none. If you’re planning on spending a ton of time playing in front of the TV, you might want something a little more comfortable – like the Pro Controller. This beauty of a controller comes complete with a proper D-pad, massive buttons, and a super comfy form factor. 'Once you go Pro, you'll never let go', as they say. Actually, no-one says that. But they should!
Then there are more bespoke options. Perhaps you want a Joy-Con with a proper D-pad, a wired controller, or a cheaper option than the admittedly expensive pro controller?
Best Joy-Con Deals
Joy-Cons are the default controller option for the Nintendo Switch for good reason. These jack of all trades can serve a variety of different controller types, from a traditional pad, to two Wiimote-style motion controllers, and even two separate controllers for multiplayer sessions.
Our options include the best deals on each of the different colour combinations for Joy-Con controllers, alongside the unofficial left D-pad Joy-Con by Hori.
Best Joy-Con Grip Deals
Grips are a handy (pun intended) way of improving the ergonomics of the Joy-Con. They range from standard controller grips to turning each individual Joy-Con into a controller itself. Heck, there are even a few fun grips like the wheels that make Mario Kart feel more immersive – as well as silly.
Our options include the best deals on Nintendo's official charging grip – which allows you to charge your Joy-Con as you play – alongside perhaps more comfortable grips and wheels.
Best Pro Controller Deals
Do you plan on playing your Switch in front of the TV for the most part? You'll want to grab a Pro Controller, then. This beast is extremely comfortable and has much larger buttons that you'll struggle to live without once you give it a try. It has all of the functionality of the Joy-Con – bar the ability to turn itself into two separate controllers; motion controls, HD rumble, and amiibo support are all present and correct here.
The options below include the best deals on all of the different colours and styles of Pro Controllers, from the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate edition to the gorgeous Splatoon 2 model.
Best Wired Controller Deals
Hate it when your controller runs out of juice? These options are for you. They also just so happen to be some of the more attractive controllers for the Switch, with PowerA creating a themed version of pretty much every Nintendo franchise under the sun.
Our options include the best deals on Hori's official wired competitor to the Pro Controller, alongside a wealth of PowerA controllers that draw inspiration from Zelda, Mario, and more.
Remember, though, that none of these wired options will work with Switch Lite.
Best Third Party Wireless Controller Deals
Pro Controller too rich for your blood? This selection of alternate wireless controllers will suit you best. 8Bitdo rules the roost here, with some amazing options that draw from classic Nintendo consoles like the SNES and NES. They're considerably cheaper than the Pro Controller, but do lack some of the functionality such as amiibo support and HD Rumble. You might be able to live without that, though – especially given that motion controls are supported.
Our options include the best deals on the different models of 8Bitdo's collection, alongside some upcoming competitors by PowerA that are fuelled by batteries.
Best Nintendo Switch Micro SD Cards
In this age of digital downloads Micro SD cards might be the first thing you turn to when you get your Switch, as the 32GB of internal storage is woefully inadequate. So much so that certain games don't even fit on it, like NBA 2K19 or L.A. Noire.
Fortunately, the Switch supports a wide range of micro SD cards all the way up to 2TB. Those don't exist yet, but we're getting closer every day with larger and larger micro sd cards inching closer to affordability. It's only a matter of time before storage space on the Switch is no longer a problem.
Our options include the best deals on a range of different micro SDs, from the far too expensive officially licensed options to eye-wateringly pricey 1TB offerings. We haven't included anything lower than 128GB, as the price difference is minimal.
Best Nintendo Switch Cases
If you fork out for a Nintendo Switch and a few games, you probably won't be very comfortable just dumping it in your bag. It's not particularly flimsy, but even the strongest devices break without appropriate care. However, there is a solution: get yourself a nice case.
We've put together a bunch of different cases to suit every need. Our options include the best deals on slim cases, messenger bags, and everything in between. Treat yourself.
If you're after a case for a Switch Lite, check out your options in our Switch Lite accessories guide.
Best Nintendo Switch Screen Protectors
One of the nice things about the Nintendo Switch is its lovely big screen, but unfortunately, it's not a clamshell designed console like the Nintendo 3DS. Even with a protective case on it, you might still manage to scratch that beautiful sharp LCD screen.
We've got you covered however with some of our favourite Nintendo Switch screen protectors which are easy to fit and will help you to avoid devastating scratches to your Switch screen. We've even thrown in a few options to protect your Switch Lite screen if you have that model.
Best Nintendo Switch Headsets
Rounding out our list of the best Nintendo Switch accessories ever is a selection of headsets. The Nintendo Switch now supports wireless headsets if you have a Bluetooth dongle so we've split our options into wired and wireless options, and included the Hori licensed Splatoon 2 headset if you want something tailor-made for Switch.

Got what I need already. Can't say I have a favorite one, just glad I got a decent memory card and a basic case to bring my Switch to work.
Oooh....!!
That Chrome Blue & White Wireless Power A Pro Controller....
Mmm... affiliate link deals... salivates
Best Joy-Con Grip Deal is Starlink, I thought...
I don't really mind the Amazon advertising if it pays the bills, but I do object to the "best deals" in the headline.
I would like to see an official cut-price for Joy Cons. They are still very expensive.
smash controller is terrible
I have to say I like that Donkey Kong art on one of the wired pro controllers. It's clearly Rare design, but drawn in style evocative of the original DK cabinets art.
Those various wired controllers are pretty, but I am actually thinking about a wireless one, despite my stance that wired = better. I underestimated the distance between TV and couch in my GF's apartment (I don't have one in mine and play handheld only).
I didn't know the original Pro model could be had for under £44. That's a bargain, provided it's not one of the early models with the dodgy D-pad like my own.
I've got all the controllers I'll ever need. 2 Joy-con, a Pro and an 8bitdo SF-30 Pro.
"Deals"
I bought the pair of blue Joycon at Target on clearance for $38, that's a deal.
These prices are wrong. The 8bitdo SF30 Pro is £39 not £35.
IMO you're missing the best system case out there, and it's cheaper than the one listed.

Think I am gonna get the Mario party bundle with neon joy cons, I got the grey switch and I want some colour now.
Held off on Mario party coz they weren't released at the same time!
Ive got a Pro Black, Pro splatoon, Two of the old NES 8bitdo and one newer SNES 8bitdo and a wired Zelda, The Pokken wired one and a wired gamecube on the way in the smash boxset... I do love a controller ha.
The official Switch Pro-Controller is my favorite first party controller of all time. Extremely comfortable, amazing battery life, great range and extremely comfortable to use.
For retro games in particular, I use an 8BitDo pro, all the buttons for modern gaming, but a D pad in the primary position.
The joy cons I pretty much only use in handheld mode or for the few games that are specifically tailored to them. Interestingly the game I have played the most with Joy-cons specifically is not a Nintendo game, but Okami HD. I'd still really like Nintendo to release alternative Joycons. Part of the benefit of the Switch's modular nature is that you should be able to swap out different controllers.
I think they should stop advertising, ESPECIALLY 'Hori', (and yes, this is NOT and article or a review, it is a full blown ad)
As I said, 'Hori' especially, they are not very high quality as I found out the hard way, and then special Joy-Cons...only making one side ??? AND without full remote function or battery, but charging $25 ???
if I buy 2, it's $50, I'd rather pay the extra $10-$20 for a fully functional set, who wants a Mario or Zelda Left Joy-Con, but nothing for the right available, I'm all for being able to buy Joy-Cons individually, but not even making a matching R available ???
no, 'Hori' Joy-Cons are $15 at best
their hard cases are actually worse, I bought an almost identical type hard case for $10 on Amazon, but it has a large pouch on the top and the two flaps hold 20 games, theirs only hold 5, I admit, it does not have the Splatoon print, but is a lot less for $8 more just because it is printed really worth it ???
(yes, dispite the description on this page, when you click on the link, the actual price is $7.50 more)
the company sells below quality for prices that are way not worth it.
Are those wireless headsets natively supported by the Switch without the need of a dongle? Or do those come with a dongle?
@chardir Especially considering a lot of this stuff is listed for above MSRP. I think 40% off MSRP is minimum to be considered a "good deal", at least to me.
I've enjoyed playing on my Switch for the short time I've had it, but this list really is just a long and painful reminder of what I hate about the last 3 generations of Nintendo consoles. You can't just buy a base pack of the console, you have to spend so much extra to get an enjoyable experience. The base internal storage is laughibly small, and the lack of a proper dpad almost forces you to buy the ludicrously expensive pro controller. I still don't have the latter, because it is just too expensive. I just can't afford to pay that much for a standard controller. And god forbid you ever experience problems with that piece of plastic junk called the dock or your joy-cons, because those cost about 3 times more than you would expect!
On top of that l, they also trafic in ultra-expensive DLC in the form of amiibo, they have recently introduced the worst premium online service ever, the Switch offers no backward compatibility, their online stores have all been terrible (the Switch online store even forces me to use it in French, a language I don't even speak very well. I cannot use it in either English or Dutch, and customer support basically sold me that, nope, you're screwed), they fail to offer the most basic of functionality (e.g. voice chat, profiles, proper friend lists, etc.) and games for their consoles are stunningly expensive.
Honestly, as much as I can enjoy a good Nintendo game, I think they are probably the most customer unfriendly company in the entire industry, or at the very least at the top. And like I said, I don't enjoy making that claim, because I play a lot on my 3DS and Switch and I like them both a lot.
Also, these aren't deals, these are just affiliate links to products that are just priced at MSRP.
You can't post links to out of stock items like they are available to buy at the price you stated. That xenoblade pro controller had been sold out for over 6 months and the Amazon price is close to £200 now from other sellers. You got me all excited for nothing then Nintendolife, shame on you😔
Are they planning on making jumbo sized joy cons? I love the Switch, but the buttons while playing in handheld mode are way too small for my hands, and I don’t even have giant hands! Really my only gripe with the system, to be honest. Nintendo nailed it, otherwise. I highly recommend the Go Play combo case and grip, as well as the Hori D Pad left Joy Con. The Zelda version looks great and the D Pad feels soooooo good!
Barely TOP deals or bargains here - so cool it with the exaggeration in the headlines. Really makes me not want to come to the site.
@TheGameSquid in response to you gaming enthusiasm of Nintendo is sadly misplaced here.
1. The last 3 generations sold far better than you expected.
2. People want options and they make a base set and you buy the rest what's so hard to understand? All Console makers do this.
3. Pro controllers aren't that expensive that's a cheap shot
4. Nintendo Dock aren't the issue it's the user that cause Nintendo Dock issues.
5. Amiibo is not a craze but has it's uses so don't knock it because you couldn't find yours at your price.
6. The Online Service is far cheaper then the other two for what they offer
7. Improper user settings is not Nintendo fault but user fault
8. Not many games I've seen so far does voice chat (Splatoon 2 is the only best known)
9. They cost same as others competitors but what you fail to see some are exclusive Nintendo
10. Yeah try that with Sony whom killed their Vita and tell me again whom has bad customer service?
11. Your just Trolling misleading information and that is what makes a poor gamer
12. Last and maybe not end - Nintendo isn't trying to be a AAA graphics but for all gamers regardless of age or sex
13. That's how you survive - you don't eat codes and live.
To the best top deals and accessories what works for one doesn't work for another so it should be changed to What deals work for your Gaming setup. This would be a better title.
@SwitchForce I like your list for the most part - but you're wrong about a lot of the docks on the market. They made some not so good ones for the first couple months. And I personally don't care how cheap their online service is, if it just plain old sucks. Ever play a Splatfest? Constant communication errors because they won't dedicate any servers. Want to back up your save info for Splatoon 2 with cloud saves? Nope and they refuse to provide a Fortnite style option for saving info. Voice chat sucks too. Don't care that it's 20 bucks. It still sucks. BUUUUUT I like all your other points on that list.
@Dang69 What I refer to was Switch Dock OEM not others. If one didn't read up why they won't let you save info then it's not others fault that others don't read is what Nintendo said. That 20 is online service and has nothing to do with the free Fortnite game you can still play it online. One should understand what the Service entails before saying what isn't said in there.
and if you're up to it, I use and resell 256GB & 512GB micro sd cards for $25 & $40 respectively, they are no name, China, but i test them and properly format them before I send them, they work perfectly unlike what most people are told and worry about, so there is no reason to spend $50, $100, $300+ on any memory card
I'm not advertising myself, I'm just saying that the bad rap generic cards get are just bad publicity started by big companies mostly, if you knew how much it costs the big companies to make those big storage cards, you would think what they sell them for is obscene
@SwitchForce I'm saying they SHOULD do what Fortnite does as a solution to their issue with cloud saves for Splatoon (setting up an actual service account for Splatoon, and keeping player info stored there, instead of JUST on your Switch's internal memory). I feel like you reply to a lot of stuff on here without fully reading people's responses, themselves.
Can't think of any witty innuendo jokes to go with this article, I am all DRIED OUT.
